Ketchams fixin’ fence in Glen Ellen
Dan and Jody Ketcham at work sprucing up Glen Ellen last month.
“Jody and Dan Ketcham win the prize for best white picket fence!!! Thanks guys!” That was BJ Blanchard's reaction upon snapping this photo of Jody and Dan, paintbrushes in hand, in front of the Glen Ellen Post Office, next to the bridge. As Leslie Vaughn commented, “Every now and then you'll find a little something that the Glen Ellen Forum has inspired.” She's right! The Glen Ellen Forum is inspiring! And their next meeting is Sept. 4, 6 p.m. at the Garden Court Café. Check it out.

Judy Watten in Vancouver
Judy Watten at the Capilano Canyon Bridge in Vancouver, British Columbia.
For her 80th birthday, Judy Watten's children took her to the Capilano Canyon Suspension Bridge in Vancouver, British Columbia. Judy wrote, “I first walked across the bridge in 1947 with my folks. The bridge used to be in our family. My Canadian dad lived at the Canyon when he was a young boy. It's over 200 feet above the Capilano River and over 400 feet long.”

Estwicks before anciet trulli
Margaret and Connor Eastwick in front of traditional trulli, peasant dwellings built in the 16th and 17th centuries. On the roofs are Christian and also Zodiac symbols. The Eastwicks stayed in one of the trulli while they were there.
In May, Rick and Margaret Eastwick and son Connor went to Italy. They visited Rome, Sorrento (Pompeii, Naples, Amalfi Coast) and Alberobello (also a stop in Sassi di Matera where there are cave dwellings believed to be 9,000 years old) and Perugia (stops in Montepulciano, Assisi, Spello, Pienza).

Carolyn Sandine and Diego Moulton were married on a beautiful, sunny Saturday, July 21, at their home on Lawndale Road, the same home where Diego grew up. Carolyn's parents are Ruth and Scott Sandine, and her maid of honor was her sister Jessica Sandine. Diego's mother and stepdad are Barbara Moulton and Tom Helm, and his father is Felipe Sarti of Guatemala City, Guatemala. Traveling with Felipe were Diego's brother and sister-in-law Rodrigo Sarti and Andrea Paiz. Bridesmaids, in addition to Jessica, were Elyse Wright, Elcy Estupinan, Andrea Paiz and Simone Strunin. Diego's best man was Lee Cavellini. Other groomsmen were Rodrigo Sarti, Joseph Gruchawka, Tony Barbieri, Ross Peters, and Sean Summers. Mike Atkin officiated. It was practically an all-Kenwood team, as Diego, Lee, Joseph, Ross and Mike have all known each other since they were in first grade together at Kenwood School, 24 years ago! Many of the wedding party, including the bride, also went to high school together at Maria Carrillo. Congratulations, Carolyn and Diego!
