Rate and fee study commences for groundwater basins
All three of Sonoma Countyís Groundwater Sustainability Agencies (GSAs) selected Raftelis Financial Consultants, a national consulting firm specializing in water utilities, to conduct a study regarding the funding of the GSAs. Representatives from Raftelis made presentations to the GSA Advisory Committees during their second meetings, and will present to the GSA Boards at the March and April 2018 meetings. If you are concerned about the financial aspect of Sustainable Groundwater Management Act implementation, or would simply like to learn about the fee and rate structures that may be used to fund the GSAs, please come to your basinís GSA board meeting in March or April to hear directly from Raftelis about the work they will be doing in the next year.
