Silver Moon Theatre donates to local fire services

Silver Moon Theatre has donated the entire net proceeds from their Holiday Old-Time Radio Shows to the Mayacamas Volunteer Fire Department and the Santa Rosa fire station in Oakmont.

The radio shows were performed in December in Murphy’s Irish Pub and at the Quail Inn, Oakmont. Silver Moon Theatre donated $640 to each of the firefighting groups, in unending gratitude for their selfless persistence and heroic courage.

“When we announced to our audiences that we were donating all the net proceeds to the firefighters,” said Nellie Cravens, the artistic director for the Theatre, “huge cheers went up and audience members came to us after the show to tell us how glad they were that we were doing this, and how they were grateful to the firefighters forever.”

Silver Moon Theatre is an active nonprofit theater group based in Sonoma, having performed a variety of plays for close to 10 years. Silver Moon Theatre also offers acting classes.
