Elderlaw, estate planning seminar
Star of the Valley Catholic Church
Thursday February 20th - 11:00amIs your house in order? Do you have a living trust, will, health directive, long term health care? If you do, are they updated?
Len Tillem, well-known elderlaw and estate planning attorney, radio personality, and newspaper columnist will address these issues at a luncheon on Thursday, Feb. 20, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Star of the Valley Church Monsignor Fahey Parish Center in Oakmont.
Tillem, who regularly publishes a column in the Kenwood Press, will talk about what most people need to know about estate planning: Who gets what when you die and the best ways to make it happen; what you need to do after you get a trust; and why it’s important to look at your estate plan every five or ten years. Tillem will also discuss Medi-Cal planning for long term care, including the ways people can legally shelter their assets from the cost of their medical care.
Lunch will be chicken Cordon Bleu, veggies, salad and dessert.
The Parish Center is located at 495 White Oak Drive, Oakmont. Cost of the lunch is $15. Advance reservations are required by Monday, Feb. 17.
This seminar is sponsored by Star of the Valley Women’s Club. Contact Leila O’Callaghan at 538-8145 or Mary Jo Henrikson at 539-7778 for information and reservations.
