Quarryhill Botanical Garden
Saturday May 17th - 5:30pmHelp Quarryhill Botanical Garden expand their education program by attending “Wild Collections, Expeditions for Education” on Saturday, May 17, from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
Enjoy appetizers, refreshments, live jazz, and the beauty of the garden in bloom at sunset. Indulge in exquisite Asian-inspired cuisine while sipping a cocktail with friends and listen to world-renowned botanist Sir Peter Crane, Dean of the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, speak about the importance of educating our children about nature.
In 2013, the number of students in Quarryhill’s education program increased by 10 percent and this year, for the first time, they are having to turn away classrooms. Quarryhill’s hope is to raise enough money to expand their education program, offering the valuable opportunity to advance science education and foster the next generation of outdoor enthusiasts, naturalists and future scientists.
Tickets are $125 for members and $145 for non-members. Space is limited. Call 996-3166 to reserve your tickets. Quarryhill Botanical Garden is located at 12841 Sonoma Hwy., Glen Ellen.
