Understanding the roots of a world in crisis Star of the Valley Catholic Church

Thursday September 8th - 11:30am

Join the community at Star of the Valley Church on Thursday, Sept. 8 at 11:30 a.m., and share in fellowship, lunch and an engaging talk by Sister Toni Nash, CSJ. The event will be held in the Monsignor Fahey Parish Center.

How does our consciousness influence our current social and ecological disruption? What needs to be different in our actions if we are to come to broader and deeper solutions? Sister Toni will explore these issues with us and discuss how we as individuals and a society might go about personal and communal transformation to help our world in crisis.

Nash has given workshops and retreats for the past 30 years in Earth Spirituality focusing on the beauty and challenge of living in harmony with the Universe. She holds a Masters of Theological Studies from Weston Jesuit School of Theology, Cambridge, Massachusetts, and a Ph.D. in Philosophy and Religion from the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco.

Deadline for reservations is Friday, Sept. 2. Tickets are $15 for the luncheon and presentation. Checks should be made out to Star of the Valley Women’s Club and put in the Women’s Club box at the Parish Center, or send a check to 495 White Oak Dr. Santa Rosa, CA 95409, Attn: Toni Nash Luncheon.
