East Slope wildflower hike at Jack London
Jack London State Park
Saturday April 7th -Itís been three years since the Eliot Loop Trail opened at Jack London State Park. Join Park naturalist John Lynch on April 7, as you discover an array of wildflowers that bloom along the trail while enjoying the fantastic views. On this moderately paced 12-mile hike with elevation gain, you can expect to see California poppies and lupines at the top and a variety of wildflowers along the Sonoma Ridge trail.
Wear sturdy shoes, bring water, lunch and binoculars. Suitable for ages 15 and up. The hike runs 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Rain will cancel.
Meet in the Ranch parking lot (on the right as you enter the park). Cost is $15 per person (parking fee extra) and space is limited to 20 hikers. To register online go to jacklondonpark.com/east-slope-nature-hike.html.
