“An Evening With the Crowd”
Jack London State Park
Saturday April 21st - 6:00pmJack London State Park (JLSP) is having its first fundraiser of the year, “An Evening with the Crowd,” on Apr. 21, 6-10 p.m. Tickets are $150 per person with all proceeds going towards JLSP. There is no auction. This event is unique in that it is the first to take place inside the House of Happy Walls museum. The concept is to create a glittering soiree in the spirit of Jack and Charmian London and their group of celebrated literary friends, which they referred to as “The Crowd.” The party will take guests back in time to the late 1920s/30s with small immersive theater vignettes, live music of the period such as Cole Porter and George Gershwin, and Charleston dance performances by the talented members of Transcendence Theatre.
Champagne and cocktails will add to the fun with an array of elegant, passed appetizers provided by the girl & the fig. Guests are encouraged to wear costumes of the Art Deco period.
Only 200 tickets are available for this event. Visit jacklondonpark.com/the-crowd.html or call Caroline Quilici, Director of Events at 938-1003.
