Annadel twilight picnic hike

Wednesday June 20th - 5:30pmThe next Wednesday Twilight Picnic Hike will be held in Annadel State Park on June 20 at 5:30 p.m. This is a free, docent-led hike of approximately one and a half hours through mixed woods of bay, fir, oak and Manzanita. The hike starts at the end of Violetti Road near Spring Lake, taking the fire road to the Cobblestone Trail and then looping back along the Orchard Trail to the picnic area.
This is an easy to moderate three-mile hike with several views of the former Wymore basalt quarry. The evening will end with a bring-your-own-picnic at Shady Oaks picnic area, located just below the end of Violetti Road off Channel Drive.
Meet at 5:15 p.m. at the Annadel State Park entrance, adjacent to Spring Lake’s County Park entrance at the end of Violetti Road. There is a $7 parking fee or you may park for free along Violetti Road.
Hikers and nature enthusiasts come from Santa Rosa, Sonoma, Kenwood and Marin to hike, socialize and learn a bit of the history of our parks along the way.
