“Kenwood Strong: A Grateful Community”

Sunday November 12th 2017 - 1:00pm to

The Kenwood community’s gratitude for our firefighters and first responders knows no bounds. Now it’s time to come together to celebrate the men and women who gave so much to help preserve our town, our school, and our way of life here in the valley.

On Sunday, Nov. 12, please join your neighbors downtown at Plaza Park for “Kenwood Strong: A Grateful Community,” a gathering to honor the efforts of the Kenwood Fire Department, Cal Fire, and first responders. The event kicks off at 1 p.m. with a potluck lunch, followed by a ceremony at 2:30 p.m.

Please bring a dish to share if you can. Potluck dishes are assigned by last name: A-I salads and side dishes, J-S main dishes, and T-Z desserts.

In case of rain, the event may change locations. Check www.kenwoodpress.com for backup plans.

Organizers will collect donations for the Kenwood Firefighters Association and can share information about ways to help locals affected by the fire. They will also be collecting written messages and mementos of the fire to assemble into a scrapbook for our first responders. Please feel free to bring a letter, photo, or artifact to contribute to this effort.

“Kenwood Strong: A Grateful Community” is organized by members of the Rotary Club of Glen Ellen-Kenwood, Kenwood Community Church, St. Patrick’s Church, the Kenwood Education Foundation, and Kenwood Vineyards. To volunteer, please email abbyp97@gmail.com for a link to the sign-up list.
