Hike to see effects of fire, regrowth

Saturday January 13th 2018 - 10:00am to

Join “Bill and Dave Hikes” on Saturday, Jan. 13, to hike the perimeter of the unburned part of Trione-Annadel State Park. On this 10-mile hike, with an elevation gain of 650 feet, the group will cover the west end of the park and a little bit of Spring Lake Regional Park. Hikers will see effects of the fire, plus regrowth and new life. Wear weather-appropriate clothing and bring a lunch and liquids. Meet in the main parking lot at the end of Channel Drive at 9:45 a.m. for a prompt 10 a.m. start. Note that a $7 vehicle entrance fee must be paid at the Iron Ranger at the stop sign just before the visitor center.

Bill and Dave Hikes are sponsored by Sonoma County Regional Parks, the Bay Area Ridge Trail Council, California State Parks, Jack London Park Partners, Team Sugarloaf, and the Valley of the Moon Natural History Association. For more information, contact Bill at 833-6288 or Dave at 539-8847, or go to www.billanddavehikes.com.
