Gorin town hall in Sonoma Valley

First District Supervisor Susan Gorin is hosting a town hall meeting on Sept. 19, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., to update the community on county parks and trails in the Springs area of Sonoma Valley.

The meeting is at Springs Community Hall, 18627 Sonoma Hwy.

Representatives from Regional Parks will provide general updates on projects such as the proposed Sonoma Valley bike and pedestrian trail and the master planning for Maxwell Farms and Larson parks.

Park representatives also will offer information about Springs-area projects identified in the expenditure plan for Measure M, the 1/8-cent sales tax increase for county and city parks on the November ballot.

Representatives from the County of Sonoma Department of Transportation and Public Works will be available to address questions and provide information on plans for a feasibility study of a possible bicycle and pedestrian route along Arnold Drive.

For more information contact Liz Hamon, field representative with Supervisor Gorin’s office, at liz.hamon@sonoma.county.orgor 565-2241.
