October 2017 and today

It’s been a year of disaster cleanup and recovery for Glen Ellen and Kenwood, with varying degrees of progress. On some residential lots, foundations are being poured and houses framed, while on others progress can be measured by the return of greenery and vegetation on still-vacant land as homeowners struggle with insurance companies and decide whether to rebuild or sell and relocate. A new Kindergarten play structure was installed at Dunbar School in April, with the cost covered by school district insurance. The Glen Ellen Fire Department’s messages bookend the past year.
