Blessings all around...

Father Ron Serban of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Santa Rosa blessed “Charlotte,” a fire-survivor hen found by Kim Ripley near Calistoga Road (top left). Ripley joined a few hundred other people for the Annual Blessing of the Animals at St. Francis Winery & Vineyards on Sunday, Oct. 7. Three small children (top right) were fascinated by “Bubba,” a giant African tortoise who came to live with Lynn Brunette and Misty Moore of Santa Rosa four years ago. Bubba was a definite hit with kids and dogs alike. Alan Cox’s Doberman Pinscher “Chien” of Rohnert Park poses with Molly Fox’s mini-Dobie “Draymond” from Sebastopol (bottom left). And a San Francisco couple (bottom right) brought their canine compadres up for an afternoon of wine country living on a sunny October afternoon. Photos by Jay Gamel
