Mike passed away on Oct. 3, 2018, at the age of 70 after a long and courageous battle with non-Hodgkin lymphoma. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Greene Haen of Windsor. He was the loving father of Tyler Haen (Gillian) of Forestville and Carlos Haen of Maui; loving stepfather of Adrienne Wedge (Richard) of Cloverdale, Heather Carruth (Evan) of Benbow, Jessica Harland of Windsor, and Lisa Tait (Kevin) of Santa Rosa; loving Papa of Everly Jay, Daniel, Hunter, Brooklyn and Colman. He is also survived by his brother John F. Haen (Connie) of Oakhurst and his sister, Kathy Cahill (Tom) of Santa Rosa. He was preceded in death by his parents Fritz and Dorothy Haen.

Mike was born in Santa Rosa, raised in Rincon Valley, and was a graduate of Montgomery High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a retired glazier. For over a decade he was a youth soccer coach in Kenwood and a mentor to many. Always with a positive attitude, Mike had a sharp wit and his laughter could fill a room. He was a true friend, a talented metal fabricator, and enjoyed building cars and motorcycles. He was energetic, humorous and giving, never asking anything in return. He was a member of the Redwood Empire Early Ford V8 Club. If desired, donations in his memory can be made to any local High School Auto Shop program, the SRJC Automotive Program, Ford V8 Club RERG#27 Scholarship fund, or the charity of your choice. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, Nov. 4, 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m., at the Showcase Café, Sonoma County Fairgrounds. Enter at Gate 2 on Bennett Valley Road.
