Kenwood Community Church news

At Kenwood Community Church’s All Saints Sunday worship on Nov. 4, the message will be delivered by layperson Laura Lamar, focusing on the theme of “Worship as Fiesta – Celebrating our Saints.”

Memorial prayers will be offered by the congregation for loved ones who have died.

Music Director Harold Julander’s organ postlude will be J. S. Bach’s Fugue in D minor. The service will conclude in the church’s back garden with the dedication of bronze plaques on the Memorial Wall for church members who died in the past year.

During the coffee hour after service, the women of the church – who attended an October retreat at Westerbeke Ranch in Sonoma – will share the Day of the Dead altar they built. The community is warmly invited to participate and to share in a day of remembrances. Service begins at 10:30 a.m.

Kenwood Community Church is located at 9637 Channing Row & Warm Springs Road at Kenwood Plaza Park. For more information, contact kenwooducc@gmail.com or call 833-1087.
