Opening on valley groundwater panel

The Sonoma Valley Groundwater Sustainability Agency (GSA) has an Advisory Committee to advise the GSA Board of Directors on groundwater sustainability plan development, implementation, and policies. The intent of the committee is to provide community perspective and participation in the Agency.

As a member of the GSA, the Sonoma Resource Conservation District (RCD) is responsible for appointing one member to the Advisory Committee, to serve a two-year term. The original RCD-appointed Advisory Committee member has resigned from the committee, creating a vacancy. The RCD is seeking applications from stakeholders in the Sonoma Valley groundwater basin who are interested in serving on the committee. To be eligible for appointment, applicants must live or work within or represent an organization with a presence in the Sonoma Valley Groundwater Basin, identified by the Department of Water Resources current Bulletin 118.

If you are interested in being appointed by the Sonoma RCD to serve on the Advisory Committee for the Sonoma Valley GSA, email vminton@sonomarcd.org for application information.

Deadline for applying is Nov. 18.

For more information on the Advisory Committee, including current members, meeting schedule, and past meeting materials, visit sonomavalleygroundwater.org/ac/.
