Two arrested in Oakmont burglary
Two Santa Rosa residents were arrested on suspicion of burglarizing the Oakmont home on Mountain Vista Court of an 89-year-old on March 6. Cash and credit cards were stolen.
The Santa Rosa Police Department posted a call for help from the public on its Facebook page, and posted a picture of a female suspect using the victim’s credit cards at various locations in the old K-Mart center on Cleveland Avenue and Industrial Drive. She had a 5- to 6-year-old girl with her during the purchases with the stolen credit card.
With the help of local businesses, on March 8 officers were able to arrest Jennifer Ancic, a 33-year-old Santa Rosa resident, and Richard Castro, a 36-year-old Santa Rosa resident.
Ancic was arrested for possession of personal identifying information of another, possession of stolen property, three counts of burglary, possession of counterfeit currency, possession of counterfeit manufacturing devices, and conspiracy.
Castro was arrested for possession of personal identifying information of another, possession of stolen property, possession of counterfeit currency, possession of counterfeit manufacturing devices, false identification to a police officer, two counts of burglary, conspiracy, as well as a felony violation of probation warrant.
Several items belonging to the victims were recovered.
