July concert series at Landmark

Landmark Vineyards has live music events coming up in July, providing a great opportunity to listen to talented artists and enjoy a glass of wine as you gaze up at the Mayacamas Mountains.

Adam Traum will be entertaining on Saturday, July 4; Michel Saga will help you celebrate Bastille Day on July 11, and John Simon will be playing July 18.

Cooking classes at the Glenelly

Looking for something to do in July? Then sign up for cooking classes at the Glenelly Inn in Glen Ellen.

Thursday, July 7, 6-9 p.m. features “Full Moon Cooking Class” with chef Maria Vieages. This hands-on class includes Chicken Satay with peanut dipping sauce, Vietnamese vegetable salad, curried pineapple moonfish with sautéed bok choy, turmeric rice, and lime mousse with shortbread moon cookies – all served with Valley of the Moon wines.

On Thursday, July 9, 6-9 p.m., Glen Ellen Village Market’s Vince Cabrera will teach you “Butchering 101.” You’ll learn how to de-bone and filet a whole fish, and how to disassemble a whole chicken. Chef Vieages will also be on hand to concoct something delectable with all the extra parts!

Oakmont Barbershop owner Nick Raia knows you want to look good for the summer, so now’s the time to step into his shop at 6532 Oakmont Drive in Oakmont.

Appointments and walk-ins are welcome. You’ll also find top quality hair products at the Oakmont Barbershop.

The hours of the Oakmont Barbershop are Tuesday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. to noon.

Wild Willow classes in Kenwood

Wild Willow Landscape Design will hold two gardening workshops on July 25. In the morning, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., a “Permaculture Principles” class is offered, where Karen Boness will demonstrate the design concepts of permaculture.

From 1:30-5 p.m., an “Understanding Edibles” workshop will take place, where you will learn how to plant, care for, and harvest fruiting trees, shrubs and groundcovers.
