Donations needed for Kenwood School fundraiser
Every year the Kenwood Education Foundation (KEF) puts on a huge event called Lights, Camera, Auction! with live and silent auctions, and delicious food and entertainment, all to raise much-needed funds for Kenwood School. This year’s event has a new twist. The theme is Sundance, and instead of one party, there will be two. The first one, on Thursday, June 3 from 5 to 10 p.m., is “Sundance Lounge” at Atwood Ranch, and it will feature live music by the John Burdick Band, savory food and wine pairings provided by Olive & Vine Catering, live auction, and special viewings of mini film clips provided by the Sonoma International Film Festival. Tickets are $175.
“Sundance BBQ & Dance” at Imagery Estate Winery will take place on Saturday, June 5 starting at 5:30 p.m, complete with the Western Swing Band “The Saddle Cats,” BBQ cooked on site, a silent auction and marketplace, homemade pies, and late night dancing ‘till 10 p.m. with “DJ4.” Tickets are $75.
Right now organizers are looking for live and silent auction items. All kinds of goods and services are welcome – for example, wine, art, jewelry, home and garden items, kids’ toys, books, and games, gift certificates to restaurants, spas, and hotels, frequent flyer miles – almost anything can be used either as a single donation, or grouped into a package. Remember, your donation is the glue that keeps art, music, library, computer lab and physical education in the curriculum of the Kenwood School.
