Bike & Pedestrian Plan available online
At its Aug. 24 meeting, the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors adopted the Sonoma County 2010 Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan, an important step in beginning to find state and federal funding sources for a variety of county projects.

The Sonoma County Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan establishes goals, objectives, policies and project priorities for a bicycle and pedestrian transportation network in the unincorporated areas of Sonoma County. The projects include areas in Sonoma Valley, including Sonoma Highway from the Santa Rosa city limits to Sonoma, and parts of Arnold Drive.
State and federal funding sources require that local governments adopt a bicycle and pedestrian master plan in order to be eligible for any possible grants.
