Having your cake and eating it, too, at the Kenwood 6th Grade Spaghetti Feed

Mike and Liz Mullins were the lucky winners of the Umholtz family’s gluten-free dark chocolate cake (plus ice cream!) at Kenwood Elementary School’s 6th Grade Spaghetti Feed held on Sept. 11 at the Maple Ring in Kenwood.

31 gorgeous and delicious cakes were on display and up for auction including Kathy Root’s gravity-defying M&M cake.

Lannie Azevedo (above) was the winning bidder for a luscious strawberry-topped cake.

The waitstaff, including Kenwood School sixth graders (R to L) Django, Theresa, Claire and Georgia, also got to enjoy a yummy dinner of pasta, salad and garlic bread provided by the Pasta King. This year’s Spaghetti Feed raised $14,000 for the sixth grade’s outdoor education program in the Marin Headlands. Photos by Jay Gamel
