Rotary of Glen Ellen-Kenwood creates new foundation

The Rotary Club of Glen Ellen-Kenwood has started a non-profit 501(c)(3) foundation to act as the fund raising arm for the club, the Glen Ellen-Kenwood Rotary Foundation. Donations that have been taken in for fire relief efforts have gone into the foundation and are tax deductible. If you would like to make a donation, checks can be sent to P.O. Box 91, Kenwood CA, 95452. If you have any questions, call current board President Alec Peters at 833-5155.

In other Rotary news, the date for this year’s Crab in the Cave fundraiser at Deerfield Winery is Saturday, March 10, featuring a crab dinner, live and silent auctions, and much more. Stay tuned for more information. This is the club’s main fundraiser of the year, so come out and support the club’s local and international projects.

The Rotary Club of Glen Ellen-Kenwood meets on the first and third Wednesday evenings of the month, 5:30-7 p.m. at the historic Kenwood Depot. The first half hour is social time, followed by the meeting and an always-interesting speaker. Come learn how you can make a difference in your community.

The club is welcoming new members. If you are interested in joining a team that gets things done, contact the club’s membership chair, Adam Reyes at Adamg.reyes@yahoo.com. You can also contact the club by email at rotary.glenellenkenwood@gmail.com.
