Learn to prune Japanese maples at Quarryhill

Master Gardener Kim Pearson will demonstrate how to perfectly prune Japanese maples on Saturday, Sept. 28, 10:30 to noon at Quarryhill Botanical Garden. Pearson will show basic cuts for summer pruning on a Japanese maple planted at Quarryhill’s lower garden to reveal and emphasize the essential beauty embodied in the shape, form and habit of these varied and garden-useful trees.

Pearson is a garden designer and consultant to home gardeners. As a Master Gardener she has made presentations on Sustainable Gardening and Succulents to local libraries and garden clubs.
