Cal Alumni Club Spring Dinner

The Cal Alumni annual Spring Dinner will be held on Wednesday, April 16, at the Quail Inn. The dinner will feature two fantastic performers, Stephan Stubbins and Brook Tansley, from Transcendence Theatre Company and “Broadway Under the Stars” at Jack London State Park.

Dinner includes a choice of salmon, ribeye steak, and pasta. The price is $34 per person. There will be a no-host bar, but wine will be provided with dinner.

Guest speaker will be Wendy Miller, editor of California magazine, the independent and official publication of the Cal Alumni Association. Miller is a 30-year journalism veteran who honed her skills at the Los Angeles Times and the San Francisco Chronicle. She was both a Pulitzer finalist and part of the team that won the 1994 Pulitzer Prize for spot news. Miller will talk about the challenges of publishing this award-winning alumni magazine, with backstories about how authors and articles are chosen and controversies that arise about these articles.

Reservations must be received no later than April 12. Walk-ups will not be accommodated. Please send a check payable to “Cal Alumni Club of Oakmont” to Helen Young at 362 Singing Brook Circle, Santa Rosa 95409.
