End of life issues topic at luncheon

Star of the Valley Catholic Church

Tuesday April 2014 - to

Nina Arbour will address end of life issues and hospice care at a luncheon on Tuesday, April 22, 11 a.m., at Star of the Valley Church’s Monsignor Fahey Parish Center. All men, women, family members and guests are invited to attend.

Arbour is the community relations and volunteer services manager for Memorial Hospice, Hospice Services of Petaluma, and North County Hospice and Hospice Services of Saint Joseph Health. She has served as a county-wide educator and trainer for 31 years. At the core of her work is a deeply personal and professional commitment to helping people talk about and understand their choices and options at end of life, as well as understanding what resources are available.

She has trained thousands of volunteers who are then able to support hospice patients and their family members.

Doors open at 11 a.m., lunch is served at 11:45 a.m., and the presentation starts at 12:15 p.m. Cost is $15. The Parish Center is located at 495 White Oak Dr. in Oakmont

Sponsored by the Star of the Valley Pastoral Council and Men’s Club. For reservations or information call Mike O’Callaghan at 888-6583.
