Oakmont Gardens

“Classical and Popular Music Explorations” is a music appreciation class at Oakmont Gardens, 301 White Oak Dr., Santa Rosa. The class meets in the private dining room, 10:15 to 11:30 a.m., on three Thursdays: Nov. 20, Dec. 4 and 11.

On Nov. 20, Instructor Mae Lucas will be joined by a guest pianist and together they will perform three piano duets from “Oriental Scenes” by Robert Schumann. The class will also hear the signature sounds and pieces of several other Romantic era composers and begin its study of Italian opera.

This free class is sponsored by Santa Rosa Junior College. No fee is required. You may enroll at the class location during any class meeting. For more information, call Mae Lucas at 508-8781.
