Edward Arron and Jeewon Park in Oakmont debut

Currently one of the top “power couples” on the New York classical music scene, cellist Edward Arron and pianist Jeewon Park have each garnered impressive accolades as solo performers as well as collaborators in duo performances, both in the US and worldwide. Music at Oakmont is delighted to present these distinguished artists on Thursday, Jan. 8, at 1:30 p.m. at Berger Center in Oakmont.

Arron and Park appear regularly in New York at Carnegie’s Weill and Zankel Halls, Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully and Avery Fischer Halls, as well as at Bargemusic. In 2013 Arron completed a ten-year residency as the artistic director of the Metropolitan Museum Artists in Concert. He is also director of the Caramoor Virtuosi and co-director, with his wife, of the new Performing Artists in Residence series at the Clark Art Institute in Williamstown, MA.

Both have performed at festivals including Ravinia, Tanglewood, Bard, Spoleto USA, and Isaac Stern’s Jerusalem Chamber Music Encounters.For their Oakmont program, Arron and Park have chosen works by Beethoven,

Piazzolla, and Rachmaninoff. Music at Oakmont concerts are open to all Oakmont residents and their invited guests.
