Harvest Festival at St. Patrick’s
Saturday October 22nd 2016 -
Money raised will go to local schools, outreach
Mark your calendar for the Harvest Festival on Saturday, Oct. 22, at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church in Kenwood. The festival will be fun for all ages, and children are strongly encouraged to attend and partake of the many games and activities. From 2 to 5 p.m. you can try your hand at pumpkin tic tac toe, pumpkin bowling, the pumpkin walk, corn hole, squirt gun blast, bounce house, M&M pick up, ring toss and more. There will be fortune telling, face painting, a craft table, and Bingo. There will also be raffle prizes throughout the day, and a silent auction featuring a vacation home in Palm Springs, four nights at a Northern California WorldMark resort and VJB wine and food basket, and a VIP lunch and tour of Fisher Vineyards, among other things.
This event is a fundraiser for programs at Kenwood and Dunbar schools, as well as for church outreach programs. At Kenwood School the money raised will go to the Free & Reduced Lunch program for which 15 to 20 percent of the students qualify, and at Dunbar the money is earmarked for the school garden and culinary program.
Cost is $10 per child, $15 per adult for all activities, except Bingo.
In addition to the Festival, there will be a harvest dinner starting at 5 p.m. in Stevenson Hall. Cost is $30 per person, and children under 12 are free. Dinner tickets are available at the church (833-4228) or the Kenwood Press office (833-5155).
St. Patrick’s is located at 9000 Sonoma Hwy., across from the Kenwood shopping center.
