Guided planet hike

Sugarloaf State Park

Saturday April 29th 2017 - 10:00am to

Take a guided hike with observatory docents along the Planet Walk, April 29, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Along the way docents will speak about each planet in our solar system, with chances to view local wildflowers along the way. There will be two different options for this hike: 1) travel along the Meadow trail to Brushy Peaks until you reach Uranus, then head back on the Hillside trail, a 2-mile loop with a 250-foot elevation gain; or 2) do the full Planet Walk loop to Pluto – 6.3 miles with an 1,100-foot elevation gain traveling along Brushy Peaks to Grey Pine and back through Meadow. Cost is $10 per person, and parking fees still apply. Please bring a lunch and water.

Tickets at www.brownpapertickets.com/event/2912100. Visit www.sugarloafpark.org for more information.
