Congressman Thompson to speak at local Rotary Club

Congressman Mike Thompson (D-St. Helena) will be the speaker at the Sept. 20 meeting of the Rotary Club of Glen Ellen-Kenwood.
The club meets on the first and third Wednesday of the month, 5:30-7 p.m. at the Kenwood Depot.
Thompson will speak on the current goings-on in Washington, D.C. and take questions. Thompson represents California’s Fifth Congressional District. The district includes all of Napa and parts of Contra Costa, Lake, Solano and Sonoma Counties. He was first elected in 1998. Prior to serving in Congress, Rep. Thompson represented California’s Second District in the California State Senate.
Cost to come to a meeting is $10. Light food is served, and there is opportunity to buy beer, wine, and other beverages.
The Rotary Club of Glen Ellen-Kenwood is a service organization participating in both local and international service projects. The club welcomes anyone who is interested in joining a dynamic group that gets things done. Come to a meeting and check it out!
