Sugar-Hood Shuttle

Saturday October 2017 - 9:00am to

Saturday, Oct. 14, and Sunday, Oct. 15, 9 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

Want to do a thru-hike from Sugarloaf to Hood Mountain or vice versa? Catch a ride on the Sugar Shuttle. Every hour the shuttle leaves from either Sugarloaf Park or Hood Mountain Regional Park (Pythian Road parking lot). Make a reservation and then ride to the other end of the trail, or hike and ride back. (Riding first and hiking back to your car is the easiest way since there are no worries about how long it may take to finish your hike.) This 7.5-mile one-way hike with 2,200 feet of vertical climbing should take four to five hours. No charge for the ride, but suggested donations of $10 are accepted on the shuttle. Dogs are not allowed on the shuttle or in the state park. Tickets: www.brownpapertickets.com, search “Sugarloaf.”
