Music lovers muse on Mingus

Alicia Schoeler-Hugg, niece of jazz great Charles Mingus Jr., will be providing an intimate look at his family and music as well as examples of other jazz musicians’ work. Her talk will be at the Oakmont Music Lovers session on Tuesday, Oct. 3, 10:30 a.m. at the East Recreation Center, 7902 Oakmont Dr. Schoeler-Hugg is a freelance writer for national and local publications and has received several journalism awards. She is the author of Art and Soul of Jazz, a Tribune to Charles Mingus, Jr.
