Volunteer orientation at Calabazas Creek Preserve

Calabazas Creek Open Space Preserve

Saturday August 4th 2018 - 9:00am to

The Sonoma County Agricultural Preservation and Open Space District trains volunteers to be part of community volunteer patrols. Observations and insights from the patrols provide valuable information to better manage and protect District properties.

The District will host an upcoming volunteer patrol orientation at Glen Ellen’s Calabazas Creek Open Space Preserve on Saturday, Aug. 4, from 9 a.m. to noon.

Volunteers monitor the property and communicate conditions, issues, and opportunities, control access to the property, and educate those who trespass – both deliberately and accidentally – of the policies and opportunities for access and stewardship activities.

If you are interested, fill out a volunteer interest form at www.sonomaopenspace.org/get-involved/volunteer-patrol.
