Transcendence Theatre Company closes its 2018 “Broadway Under the Stars” summer season with its “Gala Celebration,” a musical spectacular and fundraiser. Starring veteran performers from Broadway and national touring productions, “Gala Celebration” is Sept. 7-9, at the open-air venue of the historic winery in Jack London State Historic Park in Glen Ellen.
Directed and choreographed by Jim Cooney, this uplifting outdoor performance will take audiences on an entertaining journey inspiring courage, renewal and optimism, with a variety of musical genres and styles.
The “Broadway Under the Stars” experience includes pre-show picnicking starting at 5 p.m. in the park’s sprawling vineyard and meadow. Enjoy musical entertainment before the main performance, along with homemade picnic dinners or gourmet food purchased from food trucks and other vendors on site. Eight Sonoma County wineries will be pouring their wines at each performance.
Performances begin at 7:30 p.m. General tickets are $45-$50. Select tickets are $65-$75; Premium tickets are $85-$99. VIP tickets $139-$150. Five dollars from every ticket sold is contributed for the support and maintenance of Jack London State Historic Park.
