Garden walk under the full moon at Quarryhill


Quarryhill Botanical Garden

Quarryhill Botanical Gardenís Executive Director Bill McNamara will lead an illuminating walk under the Hunterís Moon, the second full moon to occur after the autumnal equinox, on Oct. 24, 6-7:30 p.m. Walkers will be shuttled from the Visitorís Center up to the arbor in the main garden before embarking on a twilight stroll up to the gardenís Lake View point to watch the moon rise over the mountains.

The fee for the Full Moon Walk is $20 general, $15 for members; light refreshments will be served. Please register in advance at www.quarryhillbg.org/page167.html. The walk is limited to 35 people.

Quarryhill Botanical Garden is famed for its vast collection of plants from East Asia, set in a secluded garden of tranquil ponds, gently rolling paths and scenic vistas. For more on Quarryhill Botanical Garden, visit quarryhillbg.org. The garden is located at 12841 Sonoma Hwy. in Glen Ellen.
