Family Adventures in Sonoma Valley

Thursday July 16 - 10:00am

Nurture nature, your child and yourself this summer with morning adventures in the Valley of the Moon. On July 16, 23 and 30, children and their favorite grown-ups are invited to "hike" and learn about the first settlers, special habitats, and the creatures who reside in Sonoma Valley.

Adventurers will explore Jack and Charmian London's favorite haunts at the Beauty Ranch in Jack London State Park. Tots will be introduced to tiny Asian plants in the nursery at Quarryhill Botanical Gardens, and to a fishing expedition at the Duck & Lily Pond. The last adventure offers a nature walk to the Environmental Discovery Center, and a toddler splash at Spring Lake Park. These trips are form 10am to noon each day, and are geared to children 1 1/2 years of age to five.

For more information, call Lonnie Greenfield, hike leader and docent at Jack Londaon, Annadel, and Sugarloaf State Parks, at 933-8882, or email lonnietots@comcast.net.
