4th of July pancakes at KCC

Kenwood Community Church

Sunday July 4th 2010 - 7:00am to 11:00am

Kenwood Community Church members are gearing up for the annual Pancake Breakfast and Silent Auction held in conjunction with the Empire Runners Club Kenwood Footrace on July 4, 7-11 a.m.

Our historic church, built in 1880, requires a lot of maintenance. We are very grateful for the wonderful support we receive from the community and local businesses in the form of donations and silent auction items. We use the proceeds from these activities to maintain this community treasure.

The July 4th Pancake Breakfast is now in its 16th year. Kenwood Community Church concentrates on serving breakfast to the morning crowd of over 1,000 runners who participate in the Kenwood Footrace and their families who cheer them on. The cost is $7 for adults, $3 for children under eight, and $2 for race participants.

We also provide opportunities for attendees to support the maintenance needs of the church by bidding on the various silent auction items that have been contributed by many businesses and enterprising individuals throughout our area.

Our Silent Auction Donation volunteer team is Sue and Dave Crockett, Dale McCoy, Irene Eggleton, Marjorie MacLeod, Kay Mahaffey, Randy Ruark, and Earla Snow. One or more of these volunteers will contact you to obtain your commitment for a donation. We are extremely grateful for your past contributions and hope that you will do so again.

We will supply you, by email or in person, a receipt showing our Federal Tax ID Number.

If you have any questions, please contact any team member or me at 322-2482, or email randyruark@comcast.net.

Thank you so much for your support.

– Randy Ruark
