The 50th Anniversary celebration of Jack London State Historic Park in Glen Ellen continues with the Sept. 11 showing of the film The Call of the Wild, with Clark Gable and Loretta Young.
The film will start at 7:30 p.m. in the Old Winery ruins in the park, but attendees are encouraged to bring a picnic dinner and blanket to relax with the family before the show. Seating will be provided for those with special needs, while others may bring lightweight chairs if they wish.
Cost to see the movie is $7, with kids under 12 free. You can buy tickets in advance at the museum in the park, Jack London Cottage, or Readers’ Books in Sonoma. Call Lou at 939-6605 for more information.
The 50th Anniversary celebration will then move to Sonoma on Sept. 20 at the Sebastiani Theater, with the showing of The Sea Wolf at 7 p.m. This film, starring Edward G. Robinson, premiered for the public at the Sebastiani Theater in 1941. Cost to see the movie is $8.
