Guest teacher and local saxophone performer Keith Ridenhour will demonstrate techniques of improvisation in the Nov. 4 session of SRJC’s “Classical Explorations” class. Instructor Carolyn Tewari will introduce the class to octets by Mozart, Mendelssohn, and Mulligan.

In honor of Veteran’s Day, there will be no class on Nov. 11.

SE-581 “Musical Experience: Classical Explorations” is a free class offered by Santa Rosa Junior College, designed for older adults, open to all. It meets every Thursday from 11 a.m. to noon at Oakmont Gardens, 301 White Oak Drive. For more information, call Carolyn Tewari at 542-7231, or email her at carolyntewari@earthlink.net.
