The World Affairs Council of Sonoma County will meet at the Quail Inn in Oakmont to hear a presentation from Stanford University journalism professor Joel Brinkley

Brinkley covered the fall of the Khmer Rouge regime in 1979 for the New York Times, for which he won a Pulitzer Prize. He had a 21-year career with the newspaper. He is the author of four books, most recently Cambodiaís Curse: The Modern History of a Troubled Land. He writes a weekly op-ed column which appears in over 50 newspapers including The San Francisco Chronicle.

The event starts at noon, and a buffet lunch will be served. Cost for members is $20, for non-members $25. Make your reservations by Nov. 11 by sending a check to WASC, P.O. Box 1433, Santa Rosa, CA, 95402. The Quail Inn is located at 7025 Oakmont Dr.
