Donna Elaine Bertagnolli

1948 to 2021

Donna passed away Monday, Feb. 8, 2021 from heart failure. We lost a sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She grew up in the East Bay Area, received a degree in economics from UC Davis, worked in the investment business and moved to Kenwood in the 1970s, where she lived out the rest of her life.

She enjoyed gardening, hiking, tennis, reading, and watching her beloved San Francisco Giants and San Francisco 49ers. She was very proud of her Italian heritage and one of the highlights of her life was traveling to Italy to meet and visit with her Italian relatives.

She was a kind and loving soul who fought for the “underdog” and aided and protected those in need, both people and animals. She was loved by all who knew her. “Rest in peace for you are in a far better place,” says her brother Greg Bertagnolli.

In addition to her brother Greg, she is survived by another brother, Peter Bertagnolli, many nephews and cousins, and is pre-deceased by her father, Frank Bertagnolli, her mother, Phyllis Peck, and her sister, Julie Ginocchio.

In lieu of flowers, please donate in her memory to the ASPCA, Wounded Warriors Project, Unity School of Christianity, St. Jude Children’s Research Project, or the World Wildlife Fund.
