A Glen Ellen clean-up project

Join us to wander our springtime roads picking up rubbish. Let’s spot and discard those empty vodka bottles, burger wrappers and cigarette butts.

Just show up on Sunday, March 21, 2021, at the Glen Ellen Post Office parking lot at 9 a.m. The Glen Ellen Forum will provide bags, rubber gloves, picker-uppers, and day-glow vests. We’ll fan out from there.

The plan is for teams of two to stroll the highways and byways of our town on a beautiful Sunday morning until about 11 a.m., and pick up those nasty bits along the side of the road. We’ve mapped out a few particularly litter-y roads and teams can walk or drive to them. Our designated Truck Person will drive around to the various teams to collect their refuse and we will haul it to the dump. We have found some pretty bizarre items in the past. There’s a prize for the greatest find! Kids are encouraged to come with a parent-type person. All COVID protocols will be observed.

This event is organized by the Glen Ellen Forum. For more information email [email protected] org or visit
