April 8 hearing for Glen Ellen cannabis dispensary set

County finds no need to pursue environmental impact study for project

April 8 has been set to hold a virtual public hearing concerning a use permit application for a cannabis dispensary in an ex-firehouse on Arnold Drive in Glen Ellen. The hearing will consider Permit Sonoma’s preliminary conclusion that the project will not require an Environmental Impact Report before a use permit can be granted. The hearing will start at 1:10 p.m. on April 8. According to Permit Sonoma, the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA)-required analysis did not find significant potential environmental impacts. John Lobro and Loe Firehouse, Inc. have proposed operating a cannabis dispensary in the 1,891-square-foot retail floor space at 15499 Arnold Dr. The dispensary would operate from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and be closed on Sunday. The property is zoned Limited Commercial, with combining zones for Scenic Resources.
