Senior advocacy event at Berger Center

The Sonoma County District Attorney’s Office, in partnership with Senior Advocacy Services, will host a “drive-through” event at Oakmont’s Berger Center on June 15 from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in celebration of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. They hope to raise awareness and provide information to assist people in recognizing and avoiding elder abuse. They will be handing out “gift bags,” snacks, and refreshments. Sonoma County District 1 Supervisor Susan Gorin and District Attorney Jill Ravitch, members of the Santa Rosa Police Department, Legal Aid, and several other agencies who provide assistance and support to our elderly community plan to attend.
