Jack London State Historic Park seeks volunteers

Training for a variety of roles scheduled for August 2021

Join the essential team of volunteers who help operate Jack London State Historic Park. Volunteering with the park allows for the opportunity to meet visitors from all over the world and share the legacy of Jack and Charmian London. The park needs volunteers to fill a variety of roles. No experience is required, just a willingness to learn and the desire to share your knowledge with visitors from near and far. The time commitment is only four hours per month and volunteers receive a park pass in acknowledgement of their service.

Two training classes are now open in August. A two-day training will be offered on Friday, Aug. 6 and Friday, Aug.13, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and single-day training will take place on Saturday, Aug. 21, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Friday trainings will cover roles such as playing piano in the museum, working in the bookshop and visitor center, driving golf carts, and more. For trail patrol and hike leader roles, attend the Saturday training. For more information and details, please contact Susan St. Marie at [email protected]. Learn more about the park at and on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
