Country Fest at Deerfield
Deerfield Ranch Winery in Kenwood will present Nashville recording artists James Otto and Jason Blaine for the Country Fest to Cure ALS concert on Sept. 10 at 5:30 p.m.
James Otto is an American country music artist and a member of MuzikMafia, a group of country musicians known for “country music without prejudice.” His breakthrough hit was “Just Got Started Lovin’ You” in 2008. Jason Blaine is a multiple Canadian Country Music Association award-winner with over 20 Canadian country radio hits.
The nonprofit ALS CURE Project was founded in 2019 by Oakland A’s right fielder Stephen Piscotty and his dad, Mike, in memory of Stephen’s mother and Mike’s wife, Gretchen Piscotti. Gretchen passed away in 2018 from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), better known as Lou Gehrig’s disease (www.alscure.org).
The ALS CURE Project’s mission is to conduct foundational research to identify ALS disease mechanisms and biomarkers to enable pharmaceutical biotechnology to develop a cure.
The concert will be held at Deerfield Ranch Winery on Sept. 10. VIP admissions will feature preconcert dinners with bubbles and an acoustic serenade by headliners James Otto and Jason and more.
