Hearing for VJB turn lanes, parking rescheduled for Aug. 26
Originally set for July 22, as first advertised by two huge signs on the property, a Board of Zoning Adjustments public hearing on proposed turn lanes, a parking lot, and other items at VJB Vineyards & Cellars is now set for Aug. 26, according to Permit Sonoma Policy Manager Bradley Dunn. As reported in the June 15 edition of the Kenwood Press, the revised project requests to modify the existing use permit and conditions of approval (and required mitigation measures) to permit a commercial kitchen and patio restaurant food service, remove an existing option to expand operation hours, and construct a 53-space parking lot across the street on Shaw Avenue. VJB is located on the west side of Highway 12 between Shaw and Maple Avenues. On-street parking on both sides of Shaw Avenue from Highway 12 to Clyde Avenue will be forbidden.
