The Summer Fun Fest invites everyone of all ages to join in on this year’s celebration. Events began July 28 and will be held through Aug. 8. The Fun Fest will be closed on Monday and Tuesday. “This modified fair event will have many of our fair fan favorites, including adult and kiddie carnival rides, tons of your favorite fair food, a kids’ entertainment stage, two concerts a day on the park stage, a youth garden exhibit and, of course, the Rockin’ Blues stage. And don’t forget all the exciting events in the Chris Beck Arena. We are bringing fun back to Sonoma County,” said CEO Becky Bartling. This will be a COVID19-safe event, with precautions in place. A senior day will be held Aug. 6, with tickets available for the low price of $1. There will be camel rides and pig races at the fair (the winning pigs get treats). The pig races will be held Aug. 4–Aug. 8. For even more entertainment, there will be jugglers and a magician. Some events require a separate ticket for admission. Tickets are available online at www.SonomaCountyFair.com. Members of the public who receive a COVID-19 vaccine at the Jockey Club in Santa Rosa will get free admission to the fair and one free ride ticket. This promotion is only available for vaccines received at the Jockey Club during the Summer Fun Fest from July 28 through Aug 8 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The public can choose from either the Pfizer, Moderna, or Johnson & Johnson vaccines. Vaccines are available to residents ages 12 and older. Vaccines are free, safe, fast, and simple. Walk-ins are welcome, but you can make an appointment at myturn.ca.gov. Social Security, health insurance and citizenship proof are not required for vaccination. For information about Summer Fun Fest events and calendar, visit www.sonomacountyfair.com.
