Transcendence is back
Broadway Under the Stars: “ROAD TRIP!”
By Mia Epstein
Transcendence Theatre Company’s Broadway Under the Stars is back at Jack London State Historic Park with a new performance, “ROAD TRIP!”, showcasing a diverse range of musical styles. Genres include pop, jazz, musical theater, funk, Disney, and more. They will also hold a gala Sept. 10–12 and 17–19 to pay tribute to the Sonoma community.
With the recent lifting of COVID-19 restrictions, the venue has expanded its seating capacity to 528 patrons per performance this summer. There will be a full pre-show picnic for “ROAD TRIP!” beginning at 5 p.m., prior to performances at 7:30 p.m. It will include delicious food and the chance to see familiar faces for the first time in a while. “I am thrilled and honored to be a part of “ROAD TRIP!” — the first show back in the park,” said music director Susan Draus.
All theater-lovers now have the opportunity to enjoy beautiful performances under the stars thanks to Transcendence, a local favorite, for a wonderful night out.
The performances are scheduled for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights, Aug. 6–8, Aug. 13–15, Aug. 20–22, and Aug. 27–29. Tickets are selling fast — get yours now at www.transcendencetheatre.org.
